Video Diary: Chanel Métiers d’Art, Paris 2016

I told myself I’d have to get my shit together and upload this before my next trip to Paris in March, so here it is (only two months late, or something…). This was by far my favourite show of Chanel’s that I’ve had the pleasure of seeing in person (P.S. Cara Delevingne looked straight at me for a few seconds and I was left blushing for 10 minutes). You guys have probably read all my posts gushing about Paris so I’ll spare you the rambling and let the video speak for itself.

Thank you Melody for filming, and Chanel (especially Olga) for having us, plus making sure we were never short of red wine, macarons and eye candy.

Paris / Cuba Video Diary

I finally kind of got my shit together and edited / uploaded the clips I filmed a while back (*coughs* two months ago) when I went to Paris / Cuba with Chanel to see their Spring 2017 RTW show and shoot these photos (amongst others which I will post…soon, I promise!) in Cuba. It was a whirlwind of unhealthy breakfasts, camera juggling, car naps, and ubers (the latter strictly reserved for the Parisian majority of the trip) and I think this comes across pretty verbatim in the video (or at least as ‘verbatim’ as a video compilation can be in this context).

I tried to do something a little different this time around in terms of the filming/editing style so tell me what you think, but I did manage to film while I was in Paris (again!) last week with Chanel (again!) so there will be an old-school vibe-y video diary up soon for those of you who find my voice annoying (I agree) and want to return to the good old days of ambient music and a disproportionate blurry-non-blurry clip ratio.

Taipei Video Diary

I’m starting to think that posting videos way overdue has become a habit for me simply because I’m never fully happy with them and just force myself to post them regardless (it’s been four months). There’s a fair amount of pressure when documenting your travels to do the city justice; especially when its one of your personal favourites. Editing a few months later always has its perks; it reignites all the warm fuzzy feelings and food babies and reminds you that in every travel video diary you do, you always manage to get the same kind of shots- I’ve got to try and film something other than profiles in cars. Dedicated to my travel companions and especially the one who couldn’t make it because immigration is an asshole.

Video: Behind the Scenes

One of those things I was under the impression that I had posted but never did. Remember that post we shot ages ago in a studio? Well as a #tbt here’s the behind the scenes video. :-)

Check out Bry’s photography here. I’ll be posting a new post shot by him soon so stay tuned!

Amsterdam Video Diary

In May, my parents and I made a short trip to Amsterdam before we flew back to Hong Kong from London. It feels like this trip was forever ago so I thought it was about time I got off my butt and posted another video. This has been the first week of my summer internship so that should explain why I’ve been less active. Anyway I hope you enjoy the video, Amsterdam is a beautiful city and if you visit make sure you visit the museums (Rijks and Van Gogh are a good place to start), second hand markets and amazing restaurants (Seafood Bar and Envy to name a few places to treat yourself.) Have a good weekend, got some exciting posts lined up so I can’t wait to show you :-)

Taken with a Fujifilm x-pro 1, edited on Final Cut Pro.
