Easy

Got a lil funky with some scanned flowers and haven’t been able to deviate from a summer uniform of boyfriend jeans and tanks. In other news, I think shooting at home all the time is only making me lazier and better at making excuses not to go outside. I mean, who needs to shoot outside when you can get some plants and scan them so you can pretend you only leave the house for noodles? And who needs bras or university or studying or anything that people think are necessary once summer ends? I don’t know why I always ask you guys questions on here as I don’t really know who I expect to answer/ finally tell me to shut up.

Clairvoyant

Not really a big fan of dresses…why run the risk of flashing people and/or getting your hem stuck in your underwear when you can wear a pair of forgiving and comfortable boyfriend jeans (you can decide if I’m speaking from personal experience). But that being said, I had a chance to style a piece from BNKR and Cooper Davis’ new collaboration and as a sort of impulse whim chose the ‘Oracle Dress’- a number with badass shoulders, a cutout and the print (inspired by Japanese spirit art) to match. Hence, I stand corrected- wearing a dress can make you feel cool, rather than red-faced and hem-grabbing on public transport (London Underground winds I’m looking at you) (yes that happened) (only midi skirts from now on).

Doodles

Am really digging the whole anti-shoulder coverage trend, especially within C/meo Collective’s latest collection. Australian brands have been doing so well lately (betting on all the fruit they eat or Vit D consumption) and I couldn’t dream of a funkier pattern to get me out of my current style rut…I honestly can’t see how anyone has the heat tolerance and imagination to dress nicely in this heat but then again I could just be grumpy. Will stick to flimsy tanks and shorts for external activities but will continue to frolic around my air conditioned room in cute clothes…priorities right?

Oh-Five

Nothing evokes more weather confusion than posing in a winter jacket and boots with sunburnt arms, freckles, and editing to claps of thunder as today’s storm continues…all in the height of a Hong Kong summer. Think of this more as a styling post rather than an outfit post…I pictured these items worn together despite real temperatures and got these shots after playing around with duct tape, a cloth backdrop that is really the cloth that we use to cover the sofa, a tripod and self timer. Pretty excited for the cooler months so I can wear this jacket and boot combo, I’m predicting a fall/winter uniform in the making.

Summer Proof

Exhibit A: How to dress like you are naked. But with clothes on. Considering my stubborn insistence on wearing denim in the summer heat, I can only make up for retained heat by keeping everything else very much ventilation friendly. Can’t wait to go to the beach and drink from coconuts and freak out when i step on weird things in the water.

I’m wearing an old asos top, vintage jeans and lack of colour hat.
